So, we made it home--a very long day, leaving our cottage in Hopkins at 8:30am and getting home in Toronto at 2:30 in the morning (capped off by there being no cabs at Toronto Pearson Airport --supposedly because of the weather, which was not that bad-- resulting in a 2-hour wait after we landed). All in all, though, a really great trip.

Off the top of my head, highlights were:

... included in the price. C$25 a bag. Since a quick search of the Air Canada website showed that Business Class was only $125 or so additional to what I had already paid, and it included 3 bags free! No brainer! I upgraded to Business Class and it really only cost me $50 extra ... but with boarding and leaving the plane first and priority baggage handling at the other end, believe me, it was worth it!

... to change mine back to where it was. So, walking in the airport, we were pretty sad that we would need to spend the next 9 hour flight about 13 rows apart sitting with strangers (especially because we were going to share one iPad to watch the shows and movies we had downloaded!) we asked at the check-in counter at the airport if they could change us, but they said the airplane was probably full and that we would need to check at the gate.
