We set off from the Pirate Bay Resort keen to get to LA that evening. Back at Meteor Crater I'd been chatting with a Kiwi chap who recommended an RV park close to Universal Studios. I phoned ahead and reserved a plot.

We pushed on the endless, straight roads towards LA. Arriva at LA wasn't like we saw LV, appearing in it's entirety over the brow of a hill. LA is massive, and sprawling. It just got more built up and we encountered more traffic. I missed the quiet empty roads we ...

... I had made my way to the LA County Museum of Art, which had an excellent exhibition of early 20th Century expressionists from France and Germany. Fresh from his 9 hour flight from London he was keen to celebrate by getting the drinks in! $84 later and some expensive tequila, we decided we should move somewhere cheaper. Found a proper American bar down the road with a live band and cheap budweisers. Josh threw the idea out there that we head to Mexico the next day instead of San Fran and have a mad ...

... to sit. It was a big reason why LA would never make our list**
Unfortunately by the time my parents applied for the tickets all of the reserved ones were gone. They still got first come first serve tickets and were able to get in but we were not able to wait in line together or sit together. After arriving in the morning we sat in the waiting line for about fours hours being herded to different areas, being interviewed and getting pumped. ...
