    ... in. The old town is surrounded by a canal and is very cute with old style, low rise buildings, lots of lanterns hanging and boats moving slowly round. Our walking was at a slow pace as it is so picturesque! After a while wandering we found somewhere for lunch, and decided to ask for a couple of things we knew we would like (tofu, rice, chicken) but then we just did the "point at a random item" ordering method. ...

    ... narrow streets all decorated with lanterns, and perused the gift shops. Onwards we walked to the wall which was partially rebuilt and gave a lovely view of the river and the ornate bridge. We caught the subway to our hostel which is perfectly nice but basic and stinks of wet dog! Due to the rain and the 3 dogs I suppose... We had some beer in the bar for a bit and then ventured back into the rain for dinner. We found a nice place near by which we took over and rearranged to suit ...
