... couldn't imagine never seeing my host family again! Saying bye was the hardest thing about this trip, the amount of times we said bye and gave each other hugs were un-countable! There were tears, hugs and sadness, all different emotions from the first day we met them! Hopefully we will make their time in Australia just as incredible as they made it for us! Two hearts

After we said our byes, we went ...

Breakfast was proving to be a non-event until we phoned Billy and handed the phone over to the young bloke on the desk. An unappetising meal of fried eggs, warm (powdered) milk, some slices of a sweet bread and watermelon ( and some oranges/mandarins we had brought in Shanghai), made up the meal. ... of the stall came over and pointed out the Phone wouldn't work in Australia and we'd have to get a different one. Too much confusion at the end of a long, hot, humid day, so David received his money back and we plodded back to the hotel. After a shower and a rest, we wandered down to the hotel's restaurant for another pleasant meal - made more fun by trying to defeat the language barrier (with the help of another woman of unknown nationality who spoke some ...

... in the afternoon and took the 300km/hr maglev train into the city. Then we took a taxi to our hotel. We spent the remainder of the day just wandering around the neighbourhood, taking in the city a bit, and getting some food before calling it an early night. The next day we went to the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, which is one place that in all my visits to Shanghai I had never been to. It’s a really cool place! They have these long tunnels you can walk through where the sting ...
