... Next stop at the Master of the Nets Garden which is one of the most famous gardens in Suzhou, containing a series of halls, courtyards and gardens.

Lunch was as a muslim Chinese restaurant. Round table, lazy susan and lots of delicious food.

We went back to Casa Zoe's for breakfast after moving from the Kempinski Hotel back to the Gran Park Hotel for work tomorrow. We then went to visit the Nanshan Temple, and walked around a market area, a bit like Confucius Temple area in Nanjing with small shops and stalls.

We then took a lovely boat trip down the Grand Canal (which we have been on in Hangzhou also), stopping off at a hand-made brick museum. Another lovely day.

Despite being hungry and all the people it was a really nice atmosphere, I bought a really cool photo display book, a notebook and of course postcards from a nice bookshop. We did end up finding somewhere to eat but it was in no way as good as that other restaurant would have been hahaAfter eating we resumed our walk along canals, there were people getting special boat rides ...

... have had fun playing alphabet games at the dinner table - our favourite was alphabet movies. Not so keen on alphabet sports! Much hilarity has been had although the the range of movies has been eye-opening! Tonight we tasted Suzhou specialities including pork belly on dried vegetables, red bean fritters and braised chicken. Coke and Sprite labels are the most coveted object, with the students 'calling' for them at every opportunity to put in their journals. Early start ...
