... still tucked up in bed We have done a fair bit since our last blog. Climbed the Great Wall thousands of steps! Bit stiff after but well worth it. ... Museum there was a 73 year old woman whose speciality was fish. She works six days a week, sewing single and double sided intricate designed wall hangings, pictures and fire screens. She splits one thread of silk into 24! It was almost impossible to see the resulting threads. She spends 2 years on one embroidery. Amazing and unique work which was for sale at varying prices up to 16000. We didn't buy one! ...

... with overnight! Having made our beds we headed back out of the hostel to find some food, wandering along the canal past a series of very touristy shops and bars. The Chinese 包子 (steamed bun) came into its own here as we couldn't find anything that looked good, most places having already closed in true Chinese style.
