... amount and either think you are so unfamiliar with the exchange rates that you pay up, or you're too British to cause a fuss. The "students" were obviously working with the bar place, and the wad of 100yuan notes that the guy paid was just to make it look like it was a normal price.

The medical tests were, again, thorough and invasive, as I had a chest x-ray, an ECG, multiple blood tests and a general physical which included tests of my colour sense, manic psychosis, and everything else that you could imagine. ... a notion of community on Gwai Lo. Each passing day seems to shred fragments off the label I once held. Perhaps that's why I hold a noble degree of fondness for the Asian superpower. I have not forgotten what I left but embrace what is in front of me. I add photographs by the dozens to my makeshift travel file, but more important are the memories I create while doing so. Onwards to the next adventure, I'm told, and take every opportunity that awaits.

You may wonder how after stuffing our faces all day, that we needed food - you get to the point where you eat so much rubbish, and little bits & pieces you crave a hot whole plate of food!! ... provides for us. I've been in China for 4 days and have had absolutely no noodles of any variety...There is something very wrong with that picture. Hopefully, this egregious error will be rectified in short-order.

As a side note, I learned part of a basic tai chi form today as our cultural lesson for the afternoon. I haven't sweated so much in a while, and all I was doing was slowly moving my arms and legs from one position to another. I ...
