... I was happy with that. After lunch we went to a silk factory. We saw silk carpets, amazingly soft and so beautiful and colourful but oh so expensive. Then we saw how they make silk duvets this is quite a process, stretching the silk cocoon and building it up layer by layer. Apparently stitching as in quilting is not required because the silk will not slide or bunch it just clings like Velcro. I have heard real good reports about these so, yes I bought 2. Paul had a good time ...

Dinner was good...all of our meals will be served family style...which is great because we can taste numerous items, not just the one dish we order. There was so much food! Since our stay here wasn't planned, the meal wasn't planned ahead by our Chinese speaking director....and not one person in the restaurant spoke English! Ingrid did a great job ...

That evening, we went to a Cirque du Soleil type show called "Era." It was fairly similar to Cirque, but I have to give the performers a lot of credit: they had to ensure their own safety as there were no nets and very few harnesses!
