Tristan is practicing his first form. He won't be grading (testing) on it until the new year, so it's still a work in progress!
His master is watching with a spear in hand. If the students don't do well, he sometimes whack them with it -- depending on his mood. He rarely uses the pointy end, thank goodness!

Big training hall
This is where Tristan spends almost all of his time training, except for the occassional class outside. I go back and forth between the small training hall and the big one. This is also where sparring takes place every other Friday, and grading (testing on the forms people have learned) takes place on the 1st and the 15th of each ...

Tristan's Training Update

We spent some time practicing forms. I'm just doing the most basic Kung Fu forms to start with, and so far I've only learned 6 moves in one form, 8 moves in another, and 15 moves in the third form, and that's it so far. I'll learn more moves in each form as time goes by. There's also a punching drill for Sanda that is kind of like a form that I also learned this week, and I have to yell "nee-ha-ha" when I do it, over and over again ...
