Here are a number of photos I took with my new Olympus EM-1 system and several Sraddha shot with her iPhone. Hint - She is the better photographer.... hehe.

We are about to depart Tucson for northeastern Arizona then into the beautiful red rock area of SE Utah for next few days. Not sure the internet capabilities up there but plan to post as time and resources permits.

... mankind has decided to preserve this plant in an own National Park. Only in the Tucson region of the Sonoran Desert (the hottest desert in the U.S.) you will find such a concentration of Saguaros. They have an average life span of about 80-90 years, but can become upto 200-250 years old.

Though our transition was rough boarding this train, we finally settled in and Kallen was much more relaxed. The sleep helped! We have a beautiful room - bigger than our roomettes on our last train. Our own private amenities. Word of caution to all of those considering traveling by rail - quarters are tight in a room, especially in the restroom - toilet and shower combined! Just like on a boat! Woke up a little early today and made juice in the Vita Mix. While I was making the juice, Theresa spotted bike riders across the dry wash to the south. So, after fixing a flat on my bike we hit the bike path for a great ride. We found a park complete with pond along the way and were back at RV by 10 am or so.

After a bite to eat we left for Colossal Cave Mountain Park and a cave tour. I can't say this ...
