6:30 mountain time. This town has a pop of 161. It's literLy just a school and a cafe. We went to the cafe....waited 44 minutes for burgers.....asked to take them out...was told no...eventually they gave us to go boxes...tried to eat outside but the skitos were ferosious! The entire town was just one dusty ...

... comfortable downshifting with the steep declines. I took a right at the stop sign toward Saratoga. Population 1.472.
Three days earlier I had been in Laramie. Fully intending to head right into Medicine Bow. On the way out of town, as I watched some weather build ahead of me, I passed a laundry and impulsively decided to stop, A full nylon bag that I had been using for dirty clothes was almost full. As it turns out, this was the place I would meet Richard. The laundry ...

They must have been wired by a mechanical engineer, as there are cable splices everywhere and not a conduit in sight. Perhaps this explains the low cost of the accomodation. Perhaps 110 volts is a bit more forgiving.

Tomorrow, we cross into Colorado. This will herald some big climbs and REALLY ...

Outside of Rawlins we stopped at Walmart for groceries. We also got fuel there: 37.467 gals @ $2.669/gal = $100.00. This was the best price yet! As we were loading up our groceries, we met a man who was parked next to us in a brand new 30' motor home. He had been driving early that morning and had hit a deer. You could see the damage on the right front. Good advice is not to drive these Wyoming roads at dusk or early morning when the deer are out in full force. As we ...

... elderly men and as they leave one shouts "I admire your spirits!" Coming up on the first pass we drink half our Mt. Dew (diet actually.) By the time we made it to the top of the second pass, we have the worst stomach ache ever from that poisonous drink not to mention how tuckered out we were. We collapsed on the side of the road where there was really pokey grass and gorged ourselves on a big ol' lunch of burritos, crackers and cookies. On the way down the pass, we saw what ...
