... all about that very shortly. But first today. We are about to go on the longest train journey of our lives, scheduled to arrive at our first stopover - Denver - in 33 Hours and 28 minutes!! Let's hope it's not delayed!

Wednesday 26 March It's a horrible wet start to the morning but it doesn't matter too much as we will be on the train to Denver all day, and all night, and all the next day. The train is called The California Zephyr.

... It was really cold but we saw some squirrels. We came back had some leftovers for lunch and drove to the lake to do some ice fishing. We walked out on the ice, being careful not to slip. ... and drove in the pouring rain to Red Rocks.

We got there and the rain stopped as I was picking up our tickets from Will Call..yeah!. The sun had just set behind the big red rocks on either side of the amphitheatre and they were now lit up magically. Think Belvoir meets the Quarry Amphitheatre with big red rocks instead of limestone and multiple the size times 4 and you have an idea of what it is like.

The opening band was great and had everyone dancing ...

... the street and would not look at you for a photo unless you gave them money. My eyes and ears began to bleed, so I was out of there and went to bed, dreaming of Gus getting Blue Duck.

Woke the next morning and got the hell out of town by 7am. I watched the sun come up behind me, leaving Nevada in my rear view window, and pushed my last five hours west toward my new home. I was in California within 30 minutes and again, it felt right.
