Here I am trying to pack for yet another trip. Everything out ready to put 1/2 back....then another 1/2 back in a day or so. The good news is that we have really no restrictions on weight (other than the standard 2-bags at 50lbs each) and neither Southwest nor Mexicana is charging for baggage. No way I'll need that baggage limitation but I still worry about having to carry the stuff around!<br ...
Spokane, Washington, United States nomadgalFinally got the truck back, all fixed and running beautifully. Decided to get on the road, though it was already 2 pm. Headed south along Flathead Lake through green forests and valleys to I-90, then west, west, west. All uphill, what a climb, to Coeur d'Alene in Idaho, then downhill into Washington State. Spent almost two hours trying to find Riverside State Park in the city of Spokane, finally set up the camper and tried to settle down for the night.

Up until we got to Washington I was not in AT&T area.

We made it to one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at yet just north of Spokane. The spots are level and have pavers and shrubery between the sites. We went to the grocery store and then came back and sat outside and enjoyed the breeze and our ...

Spokane, Washington, United States benandlindsey... not too happy about that...but at least she liked it. We got really big icecream sundaes for desert, which just as Angus was walking out the door to go into the motorhome he spilled all on the floor. It was hilarious!! Well, not to him or my mom who had to clean it up but it did make for a good joke the rest of the day! Poor Angus - he is know to drop a lot of food at critical moments !

Posted by ...
Spokane, Washington, United States pringlefarm... LONG drive was (eleven hours), we finally entered Washington, eager to head to our hotel. (Which I got for a steal on priceline.com!) 8:00pm- Quality Inn, Spokane, WA Our hotel was fantastic. Phil was even happier when we paid at the front desk. Best deal of the trip so far. Seriously. We had a fantastic King sized bed, microwave, flat screen, fridge, wi-fi (for the blog updates), outdoor pool, free breakfast buffet, and oh so much ...
Spokane, Washington, United States amandalbee... Now I just need to focus on the packing. It does take focus, by the way. Trying to cram my entire life into two very moderately sized bags is going to prove to be quite the challenge. Especially considering the fact that we are supposed to haul our textbooks for the year along with us. Those mostly useless bricks could take up a whole bag by themselves. We're also supposed to bring all the medication that we might need during the year, and I suppose since I ...
Spokane, Washington, United States kokeefe... mind, once we passed the into the States, we were pretty much home free. When Dylan called us on the cellphone to tell us he had made it through as well, we all celebrated. With our spirits high, we decided to squish in and make room for a hitchhiker. We had a nice chat with this Californian called Joe who was hiking around by himself. We dropped him off in the next town where we stopped and treated ourselves to a homemade pie from the diner. We drove some more and some more ...
