Got up at 5 am today to finish packing the car. Meeting Dave P in Minnetonka Mill to head over to the Pancake breakfast at Poles place. Jim Batman got there. Dave drove with Andrea and Russell and we all had a good breakfast. At 10 we took pictures and were on the road by 10:15. We stopped in Prescott Wisc. then drove down the Wisc. side to Red Wing and then switched to the Mn side. At Lake City we stopped for gas. Wabasha was ...
... probably the last privately owned show cave we will be seeing for a while, and it is much different than the ones we have seen so far. Spook Cave is toured entirely by boat. Next stop was Minnehaha Falls, which Jeff Woods told me I needed to go to. I'm glad he did. It was beautiful. The snow ...
We then headed over to great river bluffs to start our first camping
experience of the trip. As we drove into the area we were in awe. We
were expecting a little camp group on the Mississippi River but this
place was something else. The panoramic views from the lookout points
were amazing and the campground was extremely remote. We were some of
the only people there but it was so nice. All you could hear were the
sounds of nature around ...
