The tour was called "The Winter Loop Circuit" I think, and runs through the colder months of the year, with a lot of time spent inside rather than out in the cold. Shame really, as it meant that we didn't feel like we'd seen that much. He told us the history from the first settlers; a black French guy and his Potawatomi ...

I was able to get a wonderful triangle route on United rather than the direct flight to Paris on Delta. Luckily, it was cheaper, so work basically paid for my vacation flight. ... as you'd see in a church, others which fascinated me were etched glass mostly used on door frames.dating back to the 1800's.
Paul likes to stop and peruse all, but I am a fidget, and can only take in so many!
Besides my tootsies were rather sore by this stage.

We're off. It was a late Spurs game last night. We got a few hours of sleep before getting to the airport at 4:30am. Getting our bags checked in and thru security was a breeze and probably didn't have to be here so early but suppose it's better to be early than to miss the first flight of your trip.

The 6:30am flight left SA on time, but we have to wait in Chicago for 6 hours to catch the Air Berlin flight to Germany. Love those airline miles we used to get ...
