I mostly did the tourist thing there. One day I walked around Beihai park, the Forbidden City, and Tienamen square. It was pretty busy, from all the people who where starting their national day holiday early. The Forbidden City was neat. It is a huge complex. The entry gates ...

Despite our desire to get out and explore, we decided to stay in again yesterday (Tues). Some locals told me that they keep their kiddos inside during days like this so this Mama Bear did likewise. After an early swim, we once again hung out at the elaborate breakfast room for a long while. The waitresses all recognize Alicia by now and give her warm greetings.
