... my 3 and a half hour wait people watching and walking up and down the corridor to my gate (I didn't dare stray too far in case I couldn't find my way back again!). ... still. After several snaps with the soft but grumpy koala we collected our souvenir photographs and headed to the kangaroo and wallaby enclosure. Visitors could walk right into their habitat and feed them. We enjoyed the cute little wallabies but were probably most enthralled with some of the male kangaroos who looked like they had been hitting the gym...hard. These creatures biceps and pecks were insane. We learned they actually "workout" and then flex to attract ...

... ferry for a nice ride up the river. My understanding is Brisbane is not particularly a tourist destination, but serves more as a jumping off point for people to visit the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Fraiser Island, Moreton Island and Whitsundays, to name a few. It reminded me somewhat of the city of Dallas, of course not as large nor with as bad traffic. But it seemed like a very nice city to live in, but not a city that people really visit as a tourist ...

... at the purser's section to get our cards hole punched so we could put them onto our lanyards. We were herded to the lifts and let out at deck 9 to go to our rooms. We were so lucky to find our luggage had already been delivered so we started to unpack. As we unpacked our "maid" Arlene came to check on us and ask if there was anything we needed. Also explained how to get the bedlamps to work as well as the hairdryer.

We had everything stowed away before 4pm anchors ...
