8th day of 8 month- very lucky day in China
... Susan, Anna and Jason to walk the local area. First stop was one of the shopping streets where we were able to buy some lovely silk fabrics and Chinese buttons from 2 different shops. Found a MacDonald's just for desserts and enjoyed an ice-cream which certainly helped with the humidity- well we thought so anyway!!! Day 2 Lantau Island
... cool. We walked over to the Buddah and of sourse had to climb all the steps up. It really is very impressive. After poking around up top, we headed over to the Po Lin Monestary. Lots of monks and incense.The cafeteria there is vegaterian and is know for one of my favorite foods of all time...Fried taro. YUMMY!! After our afternoon snack, we headed back down the tram to grab the subway for the short trip ...
