... before shapes on the dance floor and stumbled home and had great difficulty getting the key in the door. Not surprisingly we slept like logs until midday the next day.

My vote is Cape Cod over Martha's Vineyard. MV is really quaint and all of the houses look like they are made from Ginger Bread though I just didn't like the overall vibe. Cape Cod seemed much more laid back, eclectic and real.

Summary

Drove 112 miles in 1.5 hours.

Highlights

I had no idea that Cape Cod was this close to Boston, it was a very easy and fast drive. I'm sure that in high season the route we took would be clogged up, however we had it almost to ourselves.

You enter into the native camp first, then take a path along the river to the pilgrims settlement. I wanted to giggle the entire day (that's what I do when I am really excited or having fun on an adventure, weird, I know).
After spending a few hours at Plimouth (that was how it was originally spelled) Plantation, we went to see the Mayflower II. This is an exact replica of the original. Again there are a few character actors to answer your ...

Day 3 - Falmouth, Cape Cod

A travel blog entry by evie033 on Oct 29, 2013

Today decided to go to Provincetown to the tip of the Cape. Drove for a couple of hours, and found that we couldn't find a park. I was over it and decided to go back. We had stopped at Marconi's beach and took pictures. The drive back was lovely through Barnstable - really loved this area. Not much to report today as it was basically driving around the Cape, which we did. On a ...
