... We pulled out the shoes that we destroyed in the mud of SD and sloshed through the mud of Napanee. Many RV's had to be hauled out of there sites by tractors but fortunately we were on slightly higher ground. Finally the week was up and we were on Newmars doorstep the morning they reopened. The ride was very nice along the Hudson river. Went through Albany, capital of New York, which seemed like a very cool city. Then cycled to Waterford to the "campsite", and just a few meters before we got the place, my tire went flat. First flat tire of the trip, and I know, not the ...

    First Stop

... the town in the evening. The kids enjoyed the gelato. We stopped at an outdoor bar named Gaffney's for a drink and snack. We sat amongst the outdoor lights and played several rousing games of UNO-my favorite family time of the dar. A quick room change (due to a street level window that wouldn't close) took us to a more spacious room. We really enjoyed our "stop over" and would love to come back during horse and music ...
