On our last night (Labor Day night), we had the added excitement of a tornado warning just as we were all going to bed (Gary was asleep already!) - so we gathered down in the basement for a half hour - no harm, no foul!

We got into St. Louis around dinner time thanks to gaining an hour for central time! The drive wasn't too bad, lots of rain on the morning part of our drive and the kids were struggling a bit with being in the car. Couldn't blame them at this point of course! After our lunch stop in Terre Haute, Indiana both the weather and kids were better :-)

Aside from hanging out with our friends in Ames, we didn't really do much else on this leg of our trip. I'm ready to hit the road right now - although, I must say, that Jason and Julie rocked dinner last night, and I would have loved to have on of the grilled pork chops with breakfast this morning! ... exit and wound up limping to a Schnucks Grocery store parking lot. The damage this time was worse... RV fender was gone and the hydraulic line was broken. After many phone calls we got the ok from the police to leave it in the parking lot overnight and arrange to have it towed Monday a.m. Found a motel room til tomorrow we figure out what to do.
