... He was never happier than seeing the settlement of Bozeman MT in his rearview mirror.

Stopped at Livingston MT to find the statue of Sacagawea and her young son. Aptly located in Sacagawea Park but unaptly had a "NO dogs allowed in park" policy. Fortunately there was a nearby dog park and dog friendly walking trail along the Yellowstone River. This is where Clark and his group joined the Yellowstone ...

Set off to explore the northern area of Yellowstone.

Stopped at Tower Falls then drove along a dirt road to Blacktail Plateau ( not very exciting) however it was different.

Next was Mammoth Hot Springs. This was the highlight of the day we spent a couple of hours walking the boardwalks from one colorful hot spring to another.

Totally amazing colourful landscape with brilliant yellows, oranges, greens and vivid white rock formations.
