... the car and we were happy. We decided to keep going and head over to I-95 where we would rest tonight at the nearest hotel. Today was our only "half unplanned" stop as we just wanted to meander. ... somewhat nicely kept up given that there wasn't much going on there. It's adjacent to Norfolk, a giant military city.

  • Norfolk, home to the east coast's largest Navy fleet, was insane - both traffic wise and people-wise. Couldn't get near the base of course, so I headed to Virginia Beach for the night, 20 minutes away.

    ... another 20 minutes to get and keep everyone seated. Every time our flight attendant thought everyone was seated someone else would pop up to get something out of their bag, go to the bathroom or go talk to a friend. This was despite flight attendants making announcements in English and Chinese. Don't worry eventually everyone sat down and they finished the safety presentation. And they even turned on our tvs!
