When at the edge of the earth, choices are limited!

I would give this mo'tel 4 mehs out of 10. It was, however, for our purposes, extremely convenient being close to; the highway, Pike's Landing and the Northern Alaska Tour Company. At over $100 a night it is at least 25% too costly, but it is the edge of civilization, so what are you gonna do?

Day 12, Anchorage, AK to Fairbanks, AK

Although I was up quite early, I can only imagine when Bill gets up, I was waiting for a possible video shoot in Toronto to firm up or go away. Being 4 hours behind Ontario was frustrating to say the least. I had to delay our 0900 departure time at least an hour, I called Bill with the news and, naturally, he took it in stride.

Here is his …

Of course data wasn't working so we didn't know how far anything was ahead but we could see a town a few miles out and ...

... The drive to Fairbanks was only 130 miles, 2 hr 30 min although it was tricky trying to pass with the rain & mist. It wasn't long before we had to stop for road works again, but fortunately this wasn't for too long. We think the rain might have curtailed some of the work. We did stop where one other car was to see a massive moose eating on the side of the road. His antlers weren't as big as others we had seen, but he was impressive in his size.
