LA was fab, eventually. The bus from the airport let me off at Union Station, which is a fantastic art deco building built in the 1930s. I wasn't expecting that.

... This lounge had tons of space with a lot of seating options. They also had a legit breakfast buffet with offerings similar to the Air Canada Lounge. I noticed this lounge was pretty crowded though. If I had to choose between the lounges, I would choose Air Canada's lounge, but United Club did impress me.

... PCH and walked the main drag. We ended up at the Encinitas Ale House, we got a drink here with Sinclair a few nights earlier so we knew they had a great tap list and pretty good happy hour. We had a drink and appetizer while enjoying some conversation with a local who was very intrigued by our journey and also had some recommendations, as well as being an advocate for relocating to Encinitas.
