We left Flagstaff in enough time to ensure we could see two amazing sites, the Petrified Forest Trail and the Painted Desert. We managed to see a few attractions on the way such as Jack Rabbit (largest poster board on route 66!) and it didn't disappoint. We went into the shop and bought a t-shirt and Simon managed to grab a fridge magnet.

Our last adventure of the day was checking into Wigwams #10 & 11, finding out that they were actually pretty comfortable tho small. Dinner was diner food at "Joe and Aggies" where we learned of the town's connection to the movie CARS (and had a DQ!). Lots of Route 66 places and items and claims to fame around this town! ...

... br> Our destination here is the Petrified Forest NP where we have spent the whole day seeing and walking great and varied sights:Painted Desert, Badlands and 1000's of petrified trees.The temperature has dropped below 100 thank goodness.
Off tomorrow to Winslow Arizona, maybe then we shall stop singing the damned song.
The van is sooo comfy and spacious and everything seems to work. It looks great too.
