... to reading, writing and learning. The architecture is sublime and Andy was really wishing he had his wide angle lens with him today. This is the first day he hasn't lugged around multiple lenses! He has decided that you could shoot the whole of New York through a wide angle lens. ... The Late Show. (Matisse will have to wait for us..) It was great to see the 'CBS Orchestra' and hear them play a whole lot more than you do in the Letterman show. They were a very tight outfit! I haven't seen the show for a few years, I have to confess, but everything about it was exactly as I remembered - the people, the antics, the top 10. Guests were the 4 new nominees for the Baseball Hall of Fame, the CBS sports presenter with a hilarious reel of sports bloopers, ...

... heating set on is just uncomfortable, and later were greeted with the smells of both cigarettes and joints being smoked right outside. And then finally the girl gets home from work with a loud and chatty friend at 12:30 and keeps us up, again right outside out window, even talking about airbnb and how she's super nice to the people that stay and that we can't hear a thing in our secluded little room. ... were still wet. Then cocktails were calling, so we headed to a karaoke bar called 'tonic' along 7th Ave. it was a hustly bustly place with music & sports screens everywhere. We were lucky to get a table for us. Nina had found a bill & cash payment left on the chair, so she handed it to Andy to look after. ... on the quay. We boarded close to 7:30pm and then cruised out to Battery Park and then out to the Statue of Liberty where they stop the boat for a few minutes and float so that each side gets a view of the statue. Finally we made our way back and traveled a little way up the East River under the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges before heading back to the dock.
