... Atlanta airport was huge! We started walking to the baggage carousels and began to wonder how far we were going to have to walk because we noticed that you could also catch a train to get there! And it was a long walk but it was also nice to finally be able to stretch our legs after being stuck on planes for so long. And our bags were right there waiting for us once we got there. Then more walking and then a train to the rental car "suburb" of the airport - did I mention that this ...

... surrounding trees, plants and creatures. We spotted a tiny scrub wren hopping about!

A cable car took us back up the mountain and then we boarded the Skyway which is another cable car but this one has a glass floor for a panoramic view of the valley below and the surrounding mountains. Now we managed to time our visit rather badly as it became apparent that it was the school holidays. This meant that there were children everywhere and I ...

... journey to the North Sydney area. Here we soaked up plenty of rays, and enjoyed the seemingly endless stretch of beach, life can be rough in Australia. We met up with a couple we had met the night before from Canada aswell and chatted about random topics for the day. Eventually I uncovered the guy, is the brother of a coworker from Fern who I know. Small world I guess! We stayed in Manly until the early evening, catching a bite to eat at another night market.. ...
