... for lush vegetation around the city, particularly in the botanical garden. There are also numerous sandstone outcrops within the city which convey a natural rustic feel to things. I am back through customs/security and waiting for my flight to Christchurch. Scheduled to arrive at midnight and then have a 9:30am muster for orientation, laptop screening for use on the USAP network, receipt of my cold weather gear, and details on the the ice flight. ... week for a room in an apartment before bills - extortionate! We have however found a place a little cheaper than this and in a nice part of town, Pyrmont, which is close to the city and harbour with good transport links. ... the East Coast, this looked incredibly tempting. Trip Advisor spoke very highly of them so we booked it!

However having seen people preparing to scale the Harbour Bridge and the list of celebrities that had already done it, we booked to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge straight after the bike tour.

The next day fully booked and sorted we went Christmas food shopping and gathered the ingredients for our festive meal and on our way out of ...

... Bronte beach the most stunning, and by the end of the walk agreed that we could have done without the last half, but perhaps we were just tired out! From Coogee Beach we took a bus back to Bondi and did a quick trip to Lululemon to stock up on quick dry and light clothing for SE Asia. I think the purchases will be worthwhile for the hot and humid weather ahead. Tuesday we took the ferry to Manly Beach, which is another great spot to hang out but far less hipster than Bondi. There is ...
