... beside us and the wonderful speech. We love you both. We boarded our plane to Athens at 5pm , however there was a slight hiccup. They didn't give us a seat allocation as their computer system was down. Then when we were waiting to board the people without a seat allocation were put on standby!!!! Fortunately for them, they put us on our flight! We arrived at our hotel called "350 degrees" at 6.15pm. It's very cool with retro decore. See photos below! Off to bed for a big sleep ...

This morning after a leisurely breakfast. Marky and I borrowed Marco's car and headed off to Vathi. Marky was wanting to check on our Greek wedding paper work! As it turned out our marriage certificate is perfectly legal in Greece- however in Australia it would need the Greek Apostille stamp!!!! So we have sent it off to the powers that be and asked Andy's solicitor Alexandro's to post ...

A Greek man who knew we had a Greek connection to the local village, shouted us a bottle if Ouzo!! Marky and Tim loved it. Three glasses of that stuff ...

... immortality. That's just part of the ride and it may be rough. The other part are those happy moments when you can spend time with family and friends. Odysseus certainly had that goal in mind and went through many trials before that came to fruition. Our times together are ephemeral and a treasure. I can't blame old Ody for putting it all on the line to get back to Ithaca. For me there is another great happiness and that is travel. Hand in hand with Joanne I ...

      Argostoli, Kefalonia, Greece

The cruise ship stopped at another Greek Island today, but one quite different to Mykonos. We docked at Argostoli on the island of Kephfalonia. It is known for the best beaches in Greece and was made famous by the movie "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" filmed on this island. We had hired a car to tour around the island ourselves but the pickup was at the airport. So we tried to get a taxi - of course they wanted a bigger fare than ours so ...
