    2 hour flight to Philadelphia + 20 min train ride to center city + 2 hour wait/lunch + 1.5 hour bus ride later... I am at Lehigh University!!! It is a gorgeous campus with a lot of hills and concrete steps. The midday heat rivaled that of Atlanta. I managed to get checked in, shower and nap before going to an all staff dinner!     ... drove my next few days of hiking. The first day with my boots, I hiked pretty much a full day, but I did a few less miles since I started so late, getting out of town around 1 p.m. I could feel the blisters forming, and my feet were a little sore, but I just taped my heels and did a full day the next day, too, since there was a couple who let hikers stay in their garage and would drive them into town 20 miles away at a road crossing.     It was a great trip - a three hour drive from home to the Whitewater Adventure Center, 13 miles on the river, and 3 more hours on the road home. .....I was dead! ......but thanks to sunscreen, not too burnt :)

    ... having a few cold ones in the sun. I also had my very first Ample Hills ice cream for the season – and it was as good as I remembered! It was so busy that I had to wait about thirty minutes so Matt and Lulu met me back at home. Later we headed to Manhattan to help Neil celebrate his birthday at The Park. Today we hired some Citi bikes and cycled around Prospect Park which didn't take very long at all so we've had a nice lazy napping afternoon.
