      ... We headed up to the hot springs in the late afternoon and stayed a couple hours before coming back to Radium for supper.

      There is lots of evidence of changes going on around here with a lot of older buildings for sale and a lot of new developments taking place. I told the girls yesterday, "See all those little independent hotels?, Remember them because in the next few years there will be big changes here".

      ... Kootenay River several times, we were once again struck by the smokey green tone of the water which is caused by glacial silt coming down from the mountains above. The water is so clear, you can almost count the rounded rocks on the bottom. Beautiful! This is also a "braided river" which is a characteristic of glacial streams.       ... head back to the motel. We are back in time to see the end of the BC-Calgary football game, and we are looking for supper ideas. Pizza it is, but from where? No one delivers here.
