... buildings are all unique and the shops are as varied. One shop, Galena General Store has more hot sauces than I've ever seen in one place. I know Dick Wilson and Dave Millross would have been in "Hot Sauce" heaven.

The town sits near a river and the entrance has flood gates as that river can overflow. Just a unique place. You will enjoy the pictures soon. This would be a great road trip destination for us motor home junkies.

After packing the coach Friday and Saturday, we hitched up the Escape and headed west. I have included a picture taken by my friend Jim Tschantz. I can't say I don’t do windows any more. It was an uneventful trip through Grand Rapids, past Holland and Benton Harbor into Indiana. Being Sunday, traffic was light and road construction ...

Ok, now I am really interested in talking to him as the web site shows a 2nd theater in town that was built n 1929 and has retained much of the original charm of the original theater, however, 1st order of business is that we have no place to stay for the night and it's at least several hours back to main highway and truck stops. ... chilled all night not doing much! :) Tomorrow looks like we'll spend the day driving through the country side. We're trying to knock out a lot of driving this first week though corn country and then spend more time when the scenery gets becomes something a bit more interesting then the endless corn fields.
