University Avenue Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada
We awake early after a rough stormy night at sea. Spray washed all the way onto our balcony up on Deck 11 but the ship must have a good crew and a good design as the trip is quite smooth. It is misty and trying to snow as we cruise past expensive house situated on the red sand beaches of PEI. We decided to check out an Anne shop, a knitting shop then a shopping centre. A large passenger facility is located immediately ...
Lieblingsreiseziel.
Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Canada swissbear... distance away. When she realized what was going on the owner of the apple began shooing the birds away. One crow picked up the apple, which must have weighed as much as the bird did, and tried to fly off with it in its beak. It was very funny to watch it madly flapping away, struggling in vain to gain altitude with this load. Eventually it gave up and dropped the apple. The owner regarded her snack dejectedly then picked it up and put it in a nearby garbage ...
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada andy_n... because Cavendish is the very heart of the Anne story, and some clue of what she was about was necessary to comprehend the area. Anne and L.M. Montgomery were everywhere.
In the morning we drove the short distance to the Prince Edward Island National Park in which is housed the “actual” Green Gables house. For a modest fee one can view a short film about LMM and Anne then tour a period barn and the house and buy things. The site also features ...
... which was very convenient considering how bloody heavy my bag is! I hate it already lol. Our tour guide is Kathryn and we have 14 people on the tour, all piled in to the one van (Josee) and our luggage on the roof rack. There’s a couple from England, Caitlin and Matt; some Canadians, Dan, Brett and Greg; a Dutch guy, Eric; an Irish guy, Richard; three Japanese girls, Nariko, Yoko and Chika; two sisters from Denmark, Gitte and Camilla; another Aussie girl, Lee; and me ...
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada ausgal21... Memory fades but I picked up my axe and jammed to more mind blistering viewing. Andrea returned a few hours later and her roommate, herself and myself hooked up some instruments and had a good ol fashioned jam. Beautiful music was had! I awoke the next morning ready for a jaunt, she took me to her work for a breakfast bagel on the house and many goodbyes and thankyous and back to it. The road is my home.
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada jojojinks12... amp; Fitch type place called Roots which was playing Take That. (?) Didn't even know they were famous in Canada so I wandered in and found my new favourite shop. Lots of comfy jumpers with beavers on - haha stereotyping much? Obviously had to buy a t-shirt - looks like Lacoste from afar until you realise the crocodile is actually a beaver. Brilliant... Back at the hostel I found the gang poring over maps and deciding to go to Newfoundland the next day ...
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada southern-fairy... stores, we stopped by the Province House, the birth place of Confederation. On our way there, we noticed these time travelers walking around the streets of downtown Charlottetown interacting with the locals and tourists alike. Later, we discovered that they were drama students who were desperate for summer jobs. Historically, the Province House is significant for the conference that took place here, which lead to the creation of the ...
