Took two free ferries to get over waterways. A great change of pace and I saw lots of huge tankers, birds galore and a pod of dolphins feeding in the bay!
In Galveston I had a Cajan catfish, oyster and shrimp dinner looking out at the water as the sun went down. Camped in the back of my truck at the Galveston State Park.

... 1:30 in the morning! The kids club party's all night with dancing, Dodgeball, golfing and pizza making, to just name a few! Jod and I had an expensive night last night. I have upgraded my wedding ring and Jod bought a new Tag watch. Great deals!!!! Oh and Jod got a piece of art work too!! Not to mention the casino... Oh dear... Well ya only live once right??!! We had planned on going back to Houston but by then we were so far south and with the cost of gas, we decided to keep going towards our next destination, Galveston. Probably better known for it's cruise port, we were there to see the coast and happily take in the cooler breezes! A mini vacation from being inland, we were glad to see the water. It's so calming to have nothing in view for miles except the lapping of the ocean. There's not much to do ...
