What caught our attention of this motel was the majestic mountain goat hanging out on the front lawn... not a statue but a real one, grazing and minding its own business. This was a great place to rest after a long day of driving.

From Grande Cache, we were strategically just a few hours away from Jasper National Park. Another stunning day of driving as you can see from the Dashboard Report. Sunny, few clouds and surprise surprise, stunning natural views. We saw mountain goats being harassed by humans just a few km into the park - a father and son team tearing branches off …

... way back I managed to face plant spectacularly whilst trying to be clever and run through the powder... After two strides I failed miserably! Back on the blue bus we were dropped off in downtown where we went for some lunch, but the hangover had kicked in now exercise had stopped, with soph not having the energy or will power to eat much of her pasta and I for once struggled to eat mine. Luckily now we are on the greyhound again for 7hours so can sleep it ...

... as souvenirs in shops. It was a quaint and colourful little town in the shadow of the towering Rocky Mountains and we wandered through, Cilla and I stopping in a souvenir shop for...well, quite a while.... and Benand Courtney patiently waited for us outside in the sun! Thankyou guys! It was a bright sunny day and we decided it was time to move on.

Back into the car for a drive up into the mountains, firstly stopped at a lookout where the city of Banff ...

... While they were in Custer State Park in South Dakota earlier this month, they were almost rolled over in their RV by a buffalo (I know Laura...BISON!)!! We couldn't believe it, but they have the dings in their Road Trek to prove it! Wow! Apparently two bulls had a slight altercation right next to them and their unit as they were driving slowly down the road. Somehow, one of the bulls ended up with his horns under the wheel well of their RV, and for ...
