What caught our attention of this motel was the majestic mountain goat hanging out on the front lawn... not a statue but a real one, grazing and minding its own business. This was a great place to rest after a long day of driving.

From Grande Cache, we were strategically just a few hours away from Jasper National Park. Another stunning day of driving as you can see from the Dashboard Report. The lake was beautiful and was nestled below more mountains, some of which had the remainders of this winter's snow on them. The lake was a light cloudy blue color - I've never seen anything like it, and pictures certainly don't do it justice!
