... for fossils. Huge numbers of the bones were taken to the Carnegie Museum. The National Monument was created in 1915 to preserve the in-situ bones, now covered by a magnificent two storey Quarry Exhibit Hall. 400 different species of fossilised dinosaur bones preserved in a huge vertical wall, all quite recognisable. Quite an amazing sight to see all those bones so complete.
