          ... Leaving the mountains and entering the valley, we saw farms of grapes, oranges, lemons, walnuts and trees of undetermined kind. This was definitely the agricultural area of California. At many of the farms workers were busy harvesting the crop.

          ... and artificial colouring and flavour? makes you think doesn't it? The solution buy direct from vineyards, do you homework and if you can afford to spend a bit more per bottle and take your own wine to dinner and pay the corkage fee. This may mean you drink less wine overall, but what you do drink will be of higher quality, less is more in my personal opinion. Hear endith the wine lesson I expect a bit of debate on the above and hope I havent put you all to sleep. Next stop is Oahu ...
