... A Grey Catbird posed for us. A fisherman's path led over sand dunes to a beach at the north end of the spit. The sun came out to reveal a breathtaking view of New York City. A pair of ospreys were fishing, while some fishermen examined a stranded yacht in the foreground. Surreal!
We took more photos of the lighthouse in the sun, then decided to head south along the NJ shore to see if we could ...

I continued my walk to adjacent Asbury Park, one of the major beach honky-tonk resorts full one boardwalk pinball and gaming arcades, amusement park rides, cotton candy vendors, haunted funhouses, and summer crowds when I was a kid. In the mid-1970s it was still a rea carnival atmosphere. We went sometimes in summer with my Tante Meetje (Aunt Marie), and as a kid I thought it was the greatest place in the whole world. There ...

I gave him a scrap of paper and he played for at least 15 minutes putting it in and taking it out of one of those ...

... could've felt better than I felt today. The pass was the best $45 I've spent all trip so far. It's an electronic tag that tells you the wait time on the ride. You select the one you want to go on and when it's your turn, it alerts you and you wander over and jump on. It basically holds your spot in the queue. Once I got scanned onto that ride, I'd select the next one and repeat. And repeat. And repeat. Adrenalin rush after rush ...

... we had planned on doing.
I can't go into too much detail, but one of the video technicians from KISS's crew was let go, and yesterday was his last show. His parting gift to us was an unexpected image at the end of the show that threw us all off. Needless to say he will never work in the industry again.
Now that the show is over, I am heading to my hotel room to get a couple of hours rest before heading home for a four day break. ...
