Yesterday I drove back from Devils Tower to Newcastle, Wyoming. I then decided to head first west and then south to see some of the Wyoming grassland. Out of Newcastle Miss GPS said: 'Continue 67 miles!' At the end of the 67 miles, and now heading south towards Douglas, Wyoming, she issued a new instruction: 'Continue 72 miles!' Within three hours I had driven two-thirds the length of my own country and ...

Day four finds us in Glendo, WY where the wind blows a bit (understatement!). A beautiful sunset and a relaxing evening. We are finally getting away from the forest fires and smoke. Tomorrow, we follow the North Platte to meet the South Platte and the Platte River.

... area for pike and also a pleasure boating place. We pulled in here just in time to be caught up in a tornado watch! The sky was black, and the winds were about 30mph in one direction on the ground, but then you looked up and the clouds were going in the opposite direction! Freaky! Then came the pea sized hail (third hail storm we've been in now) and after all that, a beautiful rainbow appeared, and our drinks kicked in, and all was happy again. So ...
