... of the most beautiful views I've ever seen in my life. I usually start my day at around 6:30 so I'm able to see the sunrise everyday, and in the Smokies the sunrises are magnificent. Me and Stealth were able to make it through the Smokies in 4 days and we are on our way to Hot Springs, North Carolina. 275 miles down, a lot more to go. ...
... outside of Charlotte, SC.
Mom missed the hotel exit and then when we turned around, the Waze driving device had us make a complete 360 and travel 6 more miles to a completely different exit. Go figure.

Why the Vanderbuilts of course....Next stop----Clio, ...
... the Biltmore House was equivalent to running a large hotel. Providing three meals a day to the servants was a full time job for the dining room maid. The tour finishes in the Bachelor’s Wing with the Gun Room and the Smoking Room where male guests enjoyed after-dinner cigars, pipes, and brandy. Wow! The house audio tour is fantastic! Life in the Gilded Age was astounding as was and is the Vanderbilt Family.
