Since our last blog, here are a few of the highlights of the journey.

We sped across the Pamlico and Albemarle Sounds of North Carolina, to find a rockin' place called Coinjock, NC. We wanted to visit the nearby town of Edenton, so rented a car to drive there from the marina in Coinjock. A storm was approaching, but we decided to take the drive anyway. ... to camp, the sun was out, the day was shining, and we were both ready for some quiet down time, so we set up the lawn chairs next to the river (I mean "creek) bank) and enjoyed the sounds of nature for awhile. Nice way to end the day and our stay in Herkimer.

Tomorrow we hit the road on our way to Pennsylvania, so we'll see where we end up tomorrow night. We hope to make it all the way to Scranton. Time will tell.

Today we moved all of 7 miles to a nice quiet and peaceful dock just above Lock 16. The Mohawk vally section of the Erie Canal is infamous for the number of trains that rumble through.
