... and paperwork. You could spend all your life doing paper-email work! Horrible waste of time. But we have also put our diet back to normal homemade food: Salads , "macarrrons" (this is a typical Catalan dish), fish, New York strip that John's dad grills so nicely on the BBQ, Christmas cookies from Linda ( this year a bit earlier ) and Meat Loaf from John's mum. All delicious !

Today was dedicated towards my conference: an 8am Think Tank, running a roundtable, chairing a panel. I walked to the conference center (one block away) outdoors, to help wake myself up ... but I always used the "skywalk" after that. Rather nice you can cover lots of the downtown without going out of doors. Today was grey, overcast, and windy (and cold), so I had no desire to be outside.

... Tom’s lead, we accomplished the packing in just under three hours and were happy to get on the 4 pm ferry, as a huge dark storm cloud was blowing up over the hill in Bayfield. The ferry crew informed us that we could get across to La Pointe, but that the storm reportedly had 70-mile-an-hour winds, so they would be staying in the port, and we were welcome to stay in the cabin to wait out the storm if we didn’t have anyplace to go.
