    ... was a boy you were allowed to climb up to her crown and when his dad was a boy you could climb right up in to her torch!

    ... she was there for work. We went to a very hip and trendy restaurant called ABC Cocina - like one of those typical restaurants you see on Sex and the City, where you have to make a reservation weeks in advance and still have to wait in the crowded bar area for your table, though Avery's cousin works there so we got a reservation last minute. It was also one of those tiny food portion, huge price type restaurants; dad ordered scallops which were $24, and couldn't believe he only got 2! ...

    ... districts on Lafayette road. Haha true blood name there...: lots of variety but in general New York seems more expensive than the west coast shops I went to. Got my new pair of asics runner so I can finally ditch the hiking shoes. Paid a bit more to get 2014 NY marathon colours. -Rockerfellar Center/top of the rock: another lookout point for New York.     ... queues for food and nowhere to sit to eat it. By the time we ate, got a lift back up to our room and dealt with all the maintenance issues (above) we did not get out and about until after 12 noon. Headed off to Bryant Gardens nearby and watched the ice-skaters for a while then walked down to Times Square.     ... with 20% the expected rate. Some restaurants even include in the bill. Day three spent time in Central Park, Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty and Bloomingdales. We also went to see a very small but excellent museum "Ground Zero Museum". It feature photos taken after 9/11 and the work undertaken to find the bodies of the victims. It was a very sad tour especially the realisation that all of the dogs that helped in the finding of bodies died as a result of the ...
