... for a while until they decided to crank up the music and close the window to drown out their argument. Darn...I was enjoying that. (something about some missing money...uh oh)
A van full o' people showed up late at night with a crying infant in tow. Babies just love camping; which this one proved by shrieking nearly every other hour throughout the night.

Back at our campsite we went for an evening swim and a walk along the beach (all very romantic stuff i think you'll agree). Met up with the Sachs who were once again showing off their culinary skills with a Steak and Mozzarella dinner. Me and Les went for an equally challenging dinner of Nutella and peanut butter sandwiches.
... It was all pretty delicious although our waiter was a little scatterbrained. Even the Bonefish Grill gave Chris a box of chocolates for his birthday....I can't wait till Christmas.
M&L then took us to the fabulous Pier Park for a visit to the Hofbrauhaus, where we all had some tasty beers and Chris had a birthday shot of Killerpitsch (A German favorite apparently) . We sat down for a while and pretended we were in Germany and watched a man and his dog being ...
... new approach of being positive about all things). Who am i kidding, never again. Fireball shots are evil and my head is killing me. The planned departure time of 7am turned into 10am. Perhaps we would stop half way and only spend 3 days in Panama city was pretty much the back and forth conversation i had inside my head for the first two hours of the journey. I would have loved to have had that dialog with a fellow ...
Boys are still in Tallahassee, so I got to spend time w my sisters, taking them to see the houses I saw & they loved my favorite one! We laugh so hard when we're together! Lunch at Finn's & I am learning my way around pcb! Picked up the boys & got ready to leave for northern Alabama. Went over to visit w one of my favorite people, Shea's mom, Wendy. I just love her! Took the kids to Funtown where we played lots of games (skeeball!) & won lots of ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Flamingo Motel Panama City Beach
A nice little place
We recently vacationed in PCB the week of June 15 - 20 and stayed at the Flamingo Motel. They are located close to most attractions which was nice. I have discovered you do a lot of driving at PCB cause things are spread out. The motel is oceanfront but not all rooms are oceanfront. Our room was located streetside but close to the pool area.
They have two pools and a hot tub. The room was clean and comfortable.
Maid service was very prompt. Usually our room would be cleaned by the time we got back from the beach most days which was around noon or 1 PM. The staff were very courtesous and helpful. I have recommended the Flamingo to some friends of ours who will be visiting PCB in August.
It's really a nice little place to stay.
Loved the Flamingo
We have stayed at the Flamingo twice, and enjoyed the hotel both times. The kids loved the pools and made many friends on the trip. The hotel is very family oriented. We will stay there again.
A great place to stay
Stayed there last year on the 1st vacation we had taken in years and am ready to make resevations for this summer. I think I have found a new summer home away from home. Great folks to work with.
We agree with all of the previous reviews except when it comes to accountability by the owners, which are family. We had stayed there once and loved it. We came back to stay there again and had plumbing problems. Our toilet overflowed in the evening. I quickly shut off the water supply or several units below would have been damaged. I went to the night clerk who advised me to see the owner in the morning and gave me her name. The clerk refused to clean up the mess and directed us as guests to clean it up and gave us a plunger!! The next morning I asked to speak with the owner to the owner, seeing her name tag. She denied being the owner but quickly corrected that when I explained I knew her name. I asked to be credited a night for the time it had caused us in clean up and basically poor concern for us as guests. She refused to do anything and said that some children from the previous guests must have put some toys down it. The facilities/pool guy came the next day and admitted that there were serious problems with the plumbing that a mere plunger could not have solved. Oh well, we stopped some major damage, spent time cleaning and had to use the public restroom on the outside ground level. In a nutshell, we sought legal action, their owner lied in statements, their attorney lied in statements, and they lost the suit but are calling a bluff. We would have to have serial numbers of specific items to hold until they paid what the court ordered. It just wasn't worth it!!!Great play, but less than ethical family owners. I hope that no one has any problems!!!Where has ethics, responsibility and accountability gone??? Beware!!!
The Flamingo Is Sweet
I thought the place was really nice and I had enough room to stay in there all Spring Break with my dad, uncle, and cousin. It was clean the whole time, I would recommend this motel to anyone looking to stay in Panama City Beach, right on the beach! The pool was great, too, although everyone there agreed the music could be better than the classical stuff or whatever but other than that it rocked!
This was a great place to stay! We stayed in the "honeymoon suite" and it was very nice! Had a great view overlooking the pool and ocean!
It is very cute with great facilities. Not only is the whole motel really nice but also the rooms themselves. Great room-service, wonderful gardin, clean pools, and at a super-low price! It was very enjoyable!
A new family tradition
Three years ago, our family started a new tradition for our vacations - a junior suite at the Flamingo. We knew the price was reasonable, but did not expect the value we got for our money. The suite was spacious, extremly clean, and fit the bill for what we were looking for in a home away from home for our family. The property is very family friendly, and the staff is very knowledgable about great places to go for entertainment or dining. The location was on a quiet stretch, but still near the great spots. We sometimes talk about trying somewhere new for vacation, but The Flamigo always beckons us to come back.
Great Place To Stay
A friend told me about this nice place for our trip to Panama City Beach the end of October. She and her family stay here every year, several times a year. For the price I was a little afraid. Upon arrival, I was extremely pleased. It was a nice family run hotel. It is close to everything and the staff is very friendly. I will definately stay here again and recommend it to all of my friends.
Clean and cute
discovered this little jewel several years ago - great basics - wonderful family operated lodging - right on the beach - great prices!!!!
