    Extremely pleased

My husband & our 3 children have been coming to the Flamingo for 7 years. We have never considered going anywhere else. The service is wonderful, our room is always clean. We are right by the beach. Thank you for a great 7 years. You will always have our Business.

    Wonderful place to stay

My husband and our 2 kids and my son's friend just came back from a week's stay at the flmingo. We stayed in tower 2,in a oceanview room like I requested. It was very clean and the maid service was great. The kids loved the indoor pool. Even though we had wonderful weather they went in the indoor pool. There was only one thing that I didn't like and that was that you had to pay for ice in the ice machine which broke down and we couldn't get ice. But other than that it was great. The location was wonderful also, right by everything and only a few blocks to the boarwalk and tram cars. My family and I will be comming back to the Flamingo again. Keep up the good work...........

    Just got back

We stayed 3 nights in the older motel section. I have to say I was not really impressed at all. The main complaint was the bathroom. It was very small, and the sink was in the bathroom. THere was only a very small vanity shelf over the sink, so there was really no room to put out our stuff. The towels were about the size of a hand towel and very thin. It looked very old.

The air conditioner was very loud and woke me up during the night as did the TV from someone elses room. We had a side view of the ocean, which we could see if we leaned over the balcony, you couldnt see it if you were sitting in the chairs.

The screen for the sliding glass door fell off.

It did seem clean enough though.

I dont know if the newer part was better but I would not stay there again.

    Great Location,Very Clean!

Just came back from a 3 nt. trip to OC. We usually go with alot of family members & stay in a condo. Just my sister & my 13 yr. old son & I drove down this year. All we needed was a motel. We picked a good one. The Flamingo is in a great location. They have two 5 story Tower Buildings & one 3 floor motel. We stayed in the motel. We picked it over the towers because it was least expensive. The room was small but quite adequate. We had 2 DBL. beds, table & 2 chairs, refrig & microwave, nice private balcony with a great side ocean view! The bathroom was very very small, but spotless! We enjoyed the outdoor pool & the indoor pool. Both were very well kept. Considering the price, we feel we got alot. We definitly recommend it. I know we will stay there again.

    Flamingo Good for the Money

We stayed at the Flamingo for our one year anniversary, and we wanted a reasonably priced hotel with things to do in case if it rained. We stay in Ocean City at least once every year, and have stayed at the Eden Roc, Inlet Lodge, Frontiertown, Best Western Flagship, Quality Inn, and others. This was average - better than some, not as good as others, but for the price, was a good choice. One of the better in my opinion. Nice stay!

LOCATION: The location is great in our opinion. You can walk across to street right to Jolly Roger amusement park. The motel doesn't sit directly ON the beach, but it is basically beachfront - you just walk across the parking lot and there it is. It is close to the boardwalk too. The motel has ample parking too, you get a tag, and we never had a problem finding a space.

POOLS: We had great weather, but had it rained, the indoor pool would have been nice. It was a good size pool. The outdoor pool was too cold to go in, but was nicer than the indoor pool - cleaner. Neither were too full of people.

ROOM: The rooms are pretty typical of a motel, nothing special. They were clean overall, but there were some blood spots on the sheets. The bathroom is outdated but very clean looking. My main complaint is the

shower. The shower was like a mist with no water pressure. There is no shower head, just this hose like thing that spritzes out a misty cloud of water. Nice and hot though, never had a problem with cold showers. We had a basic room, 2 double beds, fridge, mcro. It was ocean view, but we were on the 5th floor of the outdoor pool building, and it felt more like oceanfront than oceanview. Great view from our balcony of the ocean. Private balconies too, which is nice so you don't see your neighbors when you sit out. Take your own towels!!! The towels they give you to dry your body are more like washcloths- so so small. Seriously, it didn't wrap around my body even close, and I am not overweight at all. THink of a kitchen towel - this is literally the size of the bath towels! Also, the walls are paper thin because we could hear our neighbors on both sides - really well. Really late. The HBO is nice too.

SERVICE: Upon our arrival, the man at the desk was very kind and helpful. He even knew who we were somehow! We declined maid service, but she was quick to give us more towels upon request. No problems with service.

I am pretty anal with searching on the internet before I book a room. I am pretty concerned with cleanliness and comfort too, and overall I was happy with the flamingo - especially for the price. I would recommend it! If you want high class, stay at the Holiday in Suites on the boardwalk or the Quality Inn Beachfront. Have fun!

    Love the Flamingo

I love this hotel. I have come here for years and I consider it the only spot to stay. It's convienent to everything I'm after and there's plenty of parking. I've never had any problems with the staff and I find them more than helpful on every request. It's more of a family style place to stay instead of the stuffiness of the bigger chain hotels. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Love this place

My family has been staying at this motel for many years. This place is very family oriented. We have found it to be very clean. It is in a wonderful location and very reasonable.

    Nice, Clean, and great location

We have stayed in this hotel a few times, and we have stayed in other hotels in the area. This hotel is a great buy for your buck. Every time we have stayed here, it has been very clean. It's not a fancy hotel, but it is clean, and in a great location. Only a few blocks to the board walk and a few steps from the beach. There is a waterpark and a ride park across the street. Also mini golf and restaurants all around it. Indoor and outdoor pool. Great hotel to stay in if you have children.

    Missing jewelry,puke, and noise

we stayed here in 2001..in the older motel section...people above us were rude and loud everynite..called front desk...finally took care of the noise after a while...puke in the parking lot..we had requested that maid service just bring us fresh towels each day...when we were there..they were asked to NOT come in the room...my daughter misplaced a diamond and ruby ring in our room..we turned the room upside down looking for it.....the next day my daughter and her friend were coming back to our room and CAUGHT two maids coming out of our room....we informed the front desk of the missing ring....it was never found...at least NOT by us...not pointing any fingers...but....what were they doing in there??? BEWARE!!

    Nice Family hotel

I have stayed in this hotel a few times. Nice, clean family hotel. Nice size pool and indoor pool, both clean. Also a good location for small children. There is a park called Jolly Rogers right across the street. It's a place with rides and games and a water park. Also plenty of mini golf courses in the area. Very easy access to the beach!

... Paraguayan Palo Santo wood, was particularly fascinating. We didn't try this one at the pub but are bringing a few back because after reading that story, we just had to.

Then we enjoyed a nice stroll around town, snapping a few pics, and caught the bus back to the campground.

    See you all soon!

... Seashore State Park grounds at the marina, Hammerheads. We've never heard of a state park that had it's own dockside cafe and tiki bar. It was wonderful! We felt like we were in Key West. Enjoyed some crab balls (looked like hush puppies with crab meat inside) and blackened mahi-mahi tacos, all washed down with delish margaritas. Yummm!

... extend our stay here one more day. Maggie booked it and then we took the puppy over the bridge to the north beach for a nice walk (well, Braddock actually ran and ran and ran). We learned that dogs can only be on beaches that are unguarded (no lifeguards). We're at the south beach campground, which has lifeguards, and the north beach doesn't so that's Braddock's beach!

Today we packed up, said our good-byes to camping neighbors and headed for Maryland. We headed north on I-85 with Kitty and Bobby. We parted ways when we turned east on route 58. Kitty and Bobby continued north on I-85 until they merged on I-95 north and then home to ...
