... shops before finishing tour back at gas lamp area. Pet and I go to pool for cocktail ( sangria ) before we all head off for food and settle on Indian cuisine. Good food despite slow service and back by 10.30. This city is tremendous, great climate, friendly people and all areas seem smart and characterful. ... went back to gnarly's in Baja Malibu. We had few night caps and talked ****. Gnarly has some tequila that was just about the best tequila I've ever had. Like you could sip this **** it's so nice. No pictures to post today as we spent the day driving from Las Vegas to San Diego. Stay tuned for lots of photos ...

... dodgy, which made me worried perhaps I'll get my first taste of food poisoning and then promptly thought I'll kill it with beer and margaritas! Theory must have worked, I didn't get sick :)

Many people along my travels had told me how great the San Diego Zoo is and the fact that it is world class, Not To Be Missed (told to me in tones that require capital letters!). Anyway, the lovely zoo had just opened a brand new exhibit "The Australian Outback", ...
