Today we listened to one of my Kate diCamillo (native Minnesotan) faves, "the Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulaine"..music selections were Mara's. She kept it clean with Lourdes and Lucinda Williams. Have to be out of the campground by noon tomorrow. Clear ...

Today the morning was cloudy and rainy. I waited the weather out, and packed up to travel to the Ferry to Mackinac Island. The ferry ride over was chilly, but the rooster tail from the jet boat was pretty impressive. After a 15 minute trip, and a great view of the Mackinaw bridge, we arrived at the docks on the island. There was a quaint 9 hole golf course in the middle of the island, but you would need to have your clubs brought there by horse and buggy. Needless to say the experience was enlightening! If we make it back to this area again staying overnight on the island is a must! Happy Father's Day to all the amazing Dad's we have th pleasure to ...

Surly and I left The Star Motel under cloudy skies this morning, traveling on good old Route 2. My breakfast of cold oatmeal was just sticking to my ribs as I peddled through Gulliver, thinking about Maura's plan to return to the Three Season's Cafe and have homemade pie ...
