    ... the Sierra Nevada that our little van started overheating. We stopped the van and it was spewing coolant -- a big puddle underneath. When we opened the hood, the coolant was in a rolling boil. Clearly the climb had been just a little too much. Luckily we found a gas station nearby and a few minutes later all was well again.

    ... made dolls and painted with the girls. Not knowing what to expect because this was a change to our planned route we were pleasantly surprised.     ... saw what looked like a giant tree with giant balls hanging. Random. I snapped a picture. Finally we entered Nevada and THEN things got desolate. Lots of prisons but not a lot of anything else. Oh not only did we see snow in the mountains of Utah but also in Nevada. It was amazing to be driving in 100 degree weather and see snow up there. Finally we rolled into Sparks Nevada and checked in to the Nugget! The kids once again enjoyed burning ...
