Great value for Lake Tahoe. Old school motel that has had some nice renovations. Large, clean room with kitchenette. We had room with balcony & lake view. Nice little pool. Decent complimentary breakfast.

Rubicon Trail had some stone steps & was a bit hilly ...

However, the restaurant one floor up in the casino was a delightful place with lots of happy people and great service. The food there was fantastic and dirt cheap, just as the ads had promised. We ...

Our visit in town is cut a little short. Our big Lab, Molly, was stung by a yellowjacket wasp a month and a half ago. She hasn't forgotten that experience so anything that has wings and flies gets her undivided attention. While eating lunch at a restaurant with outdoor seating here comes a few yellowjackets looking for free eats. Molly sees them and goes nuts; ...

"La, I am sure there will be a good VISTA around the next bend" "No Lara, I have not read anything that Castle Rock offers good VISTAS". After 3,5 kms, Lara in sandals, the kids tired, she yelled "IT IS A VIEW, NOT A VISTA!" Perhaps there were some other adjectives, it certainly felt like there were. Needless to say, I knew that the ...
