We decided to go to Tahoe using a Worldmark deal. We stayed the night in El Dorado with Robin on December 29th to help break up the drive. We left bright and early to drop JT off at Heavenly daycare and we went boarding. Well we happened to go on a day where it's Tahoes coldest and windiest. After this we carried on following the I-80 in the direction of Utah. After ten minutes we passed Wild Island, where we spent last Saturday, and then we were into unfamiliar territory. The scenery changed a lot over the time before the next stop, with mountains, large flat scrub areas and the occasional green valley.

Somehow we also were missed ...

... Then came the best part. As we descended, Lake Tahoe came into our view. What a gorgeous sight! As we headed to Tahoe City on North Lake Tahoe, we stopped at Tahoe State Area Recreation Campground where our friends had camp posted years ago. It was a cute park situated along the lake, made up of small camp sites no bigger than 24' . Thus there were a lot of tents. We had lunch at the Bridgetender Restaurant across ...
