    ... Uncle's house in Lincoln, CA for a wonderful visit, followed by dinner at their clubhouse with my cousin and her husband. We checked in with Mark, the owner of Eden Vale Inn, who also is my cousin, to get directions. Still using Google Maps, my navigator takes us on a completely different route but we get there anyway in 45 minutes.

    After staying up late having a couple glasses of wine and catching up with Mark and Gayle, we finally hit the hay about 11:30 ...

    ... Mt. Shasta including a full blown tour of what's-what and price inquiries at all the promising hotels. We ended up staying at the Alpine Lodge, one if the more hiker priced and quality establishments in town. By the time we checked in and set our bags down it was only 6:30 pm.
