Yay week 1 classes ended!! And ended well!!! Gave students surveys to fill out, and the comments were phenomenal!! They absolutely loved the class :))) always nice when that happens!!! Had a nice lunch and dinner in the dining hall with the staff too. AND I got paid for Emory. So the day is definitely looking up. Hope to have a relaxing time ...

... free ride. It was all fake and had singing cows, but they did a good job of showing how the chocolate bars are made in an entertaining way! I then got some souvenirs, stuff I can't find at yard sales, like a special vintage mug, a shot glass, and postcards. Long fun day! I know many staff members were exhausted chasing down students. 2 hour flight to Philadelphia + 20 min train ride to center city + 2 hour wait/lunch + 1.5 hour bus ride later... I am at Lehigh University!!! It is a gorgeous campus with a lot of hills and concrete steps. The midday heat rivaled that of Atlanta. I managed to get checked in, shower and nap before going to an all staff dinner! Duncannon seemed to be the exception from the very little experience I had with it. It wasn't that people were unfriendly or anything, but there just didn't seem to be much around to help hikers except a map of the town on a sign by the trail as you entered.
