After three months in South America, Las Vegas was mind blowing! I arrived at 1 am and immediately hit with first world prices - a $40 taxi ride! Once at the hostel I headed straight to bed as I had been awake for 23 hours. When I finally got myself out of bed the next day I walked to the beginning of the strip. ... smell was really bothering me. She eventually found us a room in the Venetian which is a similar but even nicer hotel. So I quickly threw all the stuff back in bags for transfer.
Our new room has a lovely view of the pool.
The hotel is however very confusing. There is a shopping maze around a canal with a fake ceiling looking like the sky which is very beautiful. It has given me an idea for repainting our house!!

I'm not ashamed to say I am not cut out for the go go go lifestyle and I really love it that way! I need sufficient rest and relaxation to enjoy any city, place or time so today was spent sleeping in and poolside at the MGM grand.
