The Las Vegas portion of our trip started with a long drive from Flagstaff to Las Vegas with the highlight being a stop at the Hoover Dam. What an amazing structure! We had to be searched by security (as we were a potential bomb threat being a camper!!!) and then made our way down to the dam which was crawling with people. It's a very cool place, on the border of Nevada and Arizona where as you step over the border you gain (or lose) and hour because its also the changeover ...

From a user interface perspective, we found that controlling these (using Joysticks) was like driving a VideoRay, only you sit inside and they only weigh about 10 - 15 tons more than a Pro 4. There does seem to be some value ...

... coke. They were very, very tasty and made the flight go by much quicker than we thought it would. But we did learn a lesson. Don’t pour the whole bottle of jack into the glass. It is a bit too strong at first that way. We ended up having a second round and it was much better with only half the bottle of jack at first. Oh, and the best part – they never charged us for the drinks! I guess a benefit of having our flight delayed!

... the fountains all these people go past yelling out " get your $3 beer". It's really funny to see everyone walking along the street drinking beer, but can you get a hot dog?? No....
Also there are no dress codes in the casinos. They can wear whatever they want. Some of them dress up to the nines and some of them wear no shirt. Pete and I got back from the fountains tonight and had dinner at one ...

... off a high platform! The 2 clowns - so funny, and the storyline, well there wasn't really one but the acrobatics and performance was such that it didn't need one. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Not cheap but worth it. Still buzzing from the show we left the Bellagio. We had heard about a bar in the Cosmopolitan Hotel that was designed to feel like you were sitting inside a chandelier! We had to see this! The Cosmo Hotel had a real good vibe, there were dancers ...
